Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CSTAmerican TravelerSanta Rosa, California, United StatesPosition ID: P-774482Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-16T00:00:00.000Z$1,695.01/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a community hospital OR with Trauma Level I experience and at least 1 year of surgical tech experience required.DetailsCommunity hospital setting with outpatient and inpatient case coverage.Case types include orthopedic, neuro, and vascular procedures, with trauma experience preferred.Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:00.May require coverage of one night shift during the contract as needed.Weekend commitment of 3 shifts per schedule.On-call requirement of one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 0700 to 0700 with a 20-minute response time.Uses Epic charting system.Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location.RequirementsMinimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required.Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgical cases required.Trauma Level I experience required.BLS certification required.CST and NBSTSA certifications preferred.License required if applicable.Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration.Prior travel experience required.Two professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required.Additional InformationFirst-time travelers will be considered for this role.Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration, with approval based on facility needs.Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) required.Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.Scrub colors are designated by role, with OR scrubs provided by the facility.Free parking is available on-site.Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits.Hours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
