The LifeScape Specialty Hospital is very unique! Why? Because it is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the state! Our pediatric unit provides 24-hour specialized care for patients ranging from birth to 21-years old who have complex medical needs. Our team of nurse’s work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, family-centered environment.

Some of the many important tasks that RN’s perform at LifeScape include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs nursing tasks for pediatric patients for both our medically complex and inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Completes pediatric assessments, respiratory care, trach care, suctioning, neb treatments, and ventilator use
• Communicates a clear picture of a child’s health and any changes in their status
• Serves as a primary nurse within a specific unit
• Administers medications/enteral feedings
• Promotes health and safety
• Building relationships with our long-term patients and their families

Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required. Valid South Dakota RN Licensure required. Prior nursing and/or direct care experience preferred. All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
