Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for cardiovascular sales in the Modesto, California territory. The role involves promoting Amgen's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets while providing clinical product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical product knowledge and communicate benefits to medical professionals for appropriate product utilization
• Achieve territory sales targets through branded messaging, educational programs, and in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop and manage customer accounts by customizing interactions, ensuring product access, and resolving reimbursement issues
• Analyze sales activities and territory performance, providing feedback on marketing strategy effectiveness
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve as a sales leader

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
• For senior role: bachelor's degree with 3 years sales or healthcare clinical experience
• Preferred: 3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience
• Preferred: specialized sales experience in oncology, cardiology, nephrology, or related therapeutic areas
• Knowledge of payer environment and reimbursement processes
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Local market knowledge and established territory relationships preferred

Compensation: $89,816 to $121,602 base (Specialty Representative); Senior range not fully stated
