Speech Language Pathologist

Joleen R. Fernald Pediatric Therapy Services is a pediatric speech and language therapy practice that specializes in using the DIRFloortime Model to assess and treat children with diverse communication challenges. The practice supports children with Selective Mutism (SM), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Role Description This is an on-site, part-time role for a Speech Language Pathologist based in Odessa, FL. The individual in this role will assess, diagnose, and treat children with communication and language disorders. Additional responsibilities include working with children and their caregivers to develop personalized treatment plans using the DIRFloortime Model, conducting therapeutic sessions, and documenting progress in a detailed and timely manner. Qualifications Proficiency in Speech Therapy, Speech techniques, and interventions Experience with assessing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders Knowledge of Dysphagia and relevant therapeutic approaches Understanding of the DIRFloortime Model and its application in pediatric therapy (preferred) Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams Ability to provide evidence-based, personalized therapy to children with diverse needs Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or equivalent licensure Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially children with ASD, SM, or CAS (preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr Joleen R.
