Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients including labor, preterm labor, and low-risk antepartum cases across labor rooms and triage rooms
• Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, Pre-Op, Post-Op, and OB-GYN surgical procedures
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support transition nursery and couplet care as needed
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
• Administer high-alert medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Float to Post-Partum or NICU based on unit need and individual skill set

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be available to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with couplet care, transition nursery, and high-risk delivery settings
• Familiarity with cooling/warming blankets, cardioversion/defibrillation, and drain management
