Your attention to detail and financial expertise will help support the financial success of Thompson Thrift’s construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, analyze, review, and process financial activity for assigned construction projects in accordance with accounting principles and company standardsCollect, review, and process subcontractor pay applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policiesPrepare and submit monthly construction project billings with all required supporting documentationPartner with project teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of project payables and receivables throughout the project lifecycleCommunicate with subcontractors to provide guidance and ensure adherence to company accounting proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and resolve potential issuesSupport accurate financial reporting and cost management across assigned construction projectsOur Ideal Candidate for this RoleEducationHigh school diploma requiredAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredExperience3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related fieldSkills & AttributesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in financial reporting and mathematical calculationsSelf-motivated and capable of working independentlyCollaborative approach to working with construction project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholdersUse of AI in HiringThompson Thrift uses AI-assisted tools within our applicant tracking system to support parts of the recruiting process.
