Sterile Processing Technician II - Days

Assignment Duration

This is a 40-hour contract position with a block schedule from Sunday to Thursday.

Schedule

Shifts are from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with weekend coverage every Sunday required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician II will be responsible for ensuring the proper assembly and sterilization of surgical trays with a focus on cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological instruments. This role requires proficiency in the use of Steris V-Pro sterilizers and the Sterile Processing Microsystem. The technician will adhere to established protocols for cleanliness and safety within the sterile processing department.

Responsibilities

Assemble and sterilize surgical trays according to protocols.
Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
Participate in the decontamination process as needed.
Perform quality control checks on sterilization processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
Certification from either CBSPD or IAHCSMM/SPA is required.
Current BLS certification is preferred.
