This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. Sr Principal Cyber Software Engineer is responsible for developing software for the Command & Launch (C&L) Software Team. Using DevOps and Agile methodologies you will be constantly optimizing systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability, while ensuring solutions developed adhere and align to the baseline systems designs, configuration management, and architecture standards. You will work closely in a DevOps environment with the program personnel to ensure smooth execution of continuous integration and test. Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories. Demonstrates skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. Problem Solving Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Discretion/Latitude Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Virtually self-supervisory. Impact Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization. Liaison Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, or 6 years with Master's, 4 year with PHD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree. • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD security clearance

  • Secret, Top Secret) with the ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearances

its business needs. • Currently meets DoD 8140 ISSM Certification Requirements, or has the ability to meet within 6 months of hire (Examples: Sec+, CAP, CGRC, GSLC, CISSP) • Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, or similar cybersecurity frameworks. • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative team environment within schedules and timelines. Preferred Qualifications • 2 years of ISSO/ISSM Experience. • Working knowledge and understanding of auditing, vulnerability scanning/remediation, DISA STIGs, configuration/change control, and implementation of Risk Management Framework requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce coherent and concise documentation required for certification evaluation. • ICBM Experience. • Current DoD Top Secret security clearance. #Sentinelsoftware Primary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
