If so, Highland Baking Company wants to hear from you!Apply today and join a team committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.Position SummaryThe High Reach Forklift Operator / Order Picker plays a key role in our Frozen Shipping Department by safely and efficiently moving, storing, and preparing frozen products for shipment. The ideal candidate has previous experience operating high-reach forklifts in warehouse or cold-storage environments and understands the importance of precision, organization, and workplace safety.Successful team members are dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a physically demanding environment while maintaining productivity and accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Safely operate high-reach forklifts to move frozen products throughout the shipping department.Retrieve, transport, and stack pallets in elevated storage locations using extended-reach equipment.Accurately pick and stage orders according to shipping instructions and customer requirements.Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Conduct routine forklift inspections and report any equipment issues promptly.Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including freezer and shipping zones.Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.Comply with all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience operating a high-reach forklift (not a cherry picker), preferably in a cold-storage or frozen environment.Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.Good communication and teamwork skills.Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.Strong understanding of forklift safety practices and warehouse procedures.Physical RequirementsThis position requires regular physical activity, including:Reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, and liftingStanding and walking for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts)Working in cold/freezer environments for prolonged periodsLifting and moving products weighing up to 50 lbs.BenefitsWe offer a competitive benefits package, including:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holiday payUp to 6 weeks of paid medical leaveHighland Baking Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
