Job Title Plant Operator (Open) - Retest – Cylinder Maintenance Location Evansville, IN Job Description As a Plant Operator at Airgas, you will steward the safe and efficient operation of our production facility, including the filling of cylinders. Your responsibilities involve maintaining equipment, monitoring production, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Responsibilities Care for equipment in the production facility, such as compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition. Safely support the flow and transport of cylinders, performing filling operations and quality checks. Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the facility. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities. Uphold all safety protocols and procedures to sustain a secure work environment. Participate in team meetings and safety initiatives. Qualifications Required: 18 years of age or older, high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field. Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus. Industrial gas experience. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols. Comfort with operating a forklift safely and efficiently. Flexibility to work shifts and occasional extra hours as needed. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
