About the Role

Commercial general contractor is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from planning through closeout. The company has a strong record of delivering quality projects across healthcare, education, government, industrial, hospitality, religious, and institutional sectors. This role is a good fit for a hands-on project manager who can manage project finances, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and client relationships while working closely with field Superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
\n
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and cost controls.
\n
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and project resources.
\n
• Administer contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
\n
• Work with Superintendents to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality.
\n
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
\n
• Support successful project turnover and closeout.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• At least 5 years of commercial construction experience, including project management responsibilities.
\n

Required Skills

\n
• Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
\n
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and contracts.
\n
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and building systems.
\n
• Clear communication, organization, and leadership skills.
\n
• Ability to support projects throughout Northern Virginia.
\n

Preferred Skills

\n
• Ground-up commercial construction experience preferred.
\n
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
\n
• Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more is preferred.
