Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician responsible for the manufacture of a wide variety of new and rebuilt turbo machinery equipment at our headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Rotoflow employees enjoy Helping to grow a world‑class machinery design and service business Being part of an engineering, manufacturing, service and business organization developing machinery solutions for our customers Tapping into the wealth of technical experience available within Rotoflow and the opportunity to explore technical interests Being part of a team of highly motivated individuals Seeing the results of efforts through growth of business Collaborating with multi‑functional teams across sales, products, execution, engineering, purchasing, aftermarket services and manufacturing on a wide variety of manufacturing activities with varying technical complexity and scope The ability to grow and develop one’s career and take on increasing responsibility Being part of Air Products – a large and growing company with a proven track record of stability and sustained profitable growth Required Skills / Abilities Working knowledge of torque wrenches, power tools and hand tools for mechanical assembly Use precision measuring equipment such as caliper and micrometers Turning and milling machine operation Crate building for packaging machinery or other heavy equipment Forklift, pallet jack or reach truck operation Experience in data management systems such as ERP systems – SAP preferred but not required Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word Ability to read mechanical drawings for job duties A safety‑first work mentality Key Job Responsibilities All duties necessary to receive, store and issue materials, parts and equipment in the storeroom All operations necessary to ship and receive all materials and products such as wrapping, packing, weighing, stenciling, addressing, crating, un‑crating, loading and unloading Prepare all necessary documents Operate equipment necessary in the performance of duties such as forklift, hoist, hand truck, overhead cranes and other lifting equipment including company vehicles Perform inventory counts, knowledge of ERP systems Perform a variety of tasks to support production Adhere to production schedules Process full part inspections as required Maintain a clean and organized working space Working with pressure containing vessels and/or testing equipment Dynamic or single plane balancing equipment operation Training will be provided Minimum Hiring Requirements A high school diploma or GED is required 3+ years’ experience in a mechanical, maintenance or assembly field is required Associate degree from a technical school with training in mechanical assembly, automotive or industrial and/or precision measuring and machining is preferred but not required Excellent attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Able to work within a team environment with the ability to change priorities quickly Knowledge of mechanical assembly applying to industrial machine maintenance or rebuilds, automotive or diesel engine assembly or mechanical assembly Ability to work in a union environment A valid driver’s license is required Availability to work a 1st shift: 6:25am to 2:25pm, Monday through Friday Flexibility to work overtime Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays and vacation, affordable medical, dental, life insurance and retirement plans.
