Overview Position Title: Developer 1 Location: Atlanta, GA Engagement Type: Contract Work Mode: Hybrid Duration: July 20, 2026 June 30, 2027 (~11.5 months) Interview Type: In Person Only Role Overview This entry-level developer role, within a large state government IT department, supports software design, coding, testing, modification, and debugging under direct supervision. The resource will translate business requirements into secure, maintainable code and support configuration of a tax administration COTS application. Key Responsibilities Design, code, test, modify, and debug computer software under direct supervision Research and analyze program or systems problems; develop program documentation Translate business requirements into development activities in secure and maintainable code Support configuration of all aspects of a COTS tax application (GenTax) Required Skills & Experience US Citizenship or Green Card (Permanent Resident) status required Minimum 1 year experience in any .NET programming language Minimum 1 year working knowledge of SQL Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems from an accredited institution Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated resiliency and experience working in small team environments Preferred Skills Recent undergraduate graduate preferred Prior experience in software development organizations Additional Details Standard business hours, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must be local to Metro Atlanta or willing to relocate to Georgia for the duration of the contract. Background check and fingerprinting required.
