Join a growing machine shop team where your setup experience, attention to detail, and mechanical skills will make an immediate impact.Pay: $24-25/hrShift: Monday-Thursday 5:00a-3:00p or 6:00a-4:00pLocation: Kiel, WIPosition OverviewThe Skilled CNC Setup Operator will set up and operate CNC machines, perform production runs, inspect parts for quality, and support overall shop efficiency. This role works with a variety of machines and products based on customer needs while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform typical machine shop operationsSetup and operate CNC machinery and toolingRead and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts accuratelyInspect machined products to ensure customer specifications are metDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditionsComplete and maintain production paperwork and documentationDevelop processes and tooling from blueprintsPerform preventive and routine machine maintenanceTrain and assist new and current employees as neededOperate forklifts to move materials and deliveriesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaQualificationsTechnical school certification OR 2–3 years of CNC setup experience in a machine shop environment requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer skills for data entry and recordkeepingStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and communicate effectively with team membersBasic math skills including fractions and decimalsCommitment to safety procedures and company policiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb stairs/laddersAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyAbility to work with small parts and measurement tools requiring close visual attentionMust be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed bootsWork EnvironmentManufacturing/machine shop environmentExposure to dust, odors, fumes, and moving machineryHeated and ventilated production floorTeam-oriented atmosphere working in close proximity to othersWhy Join Us?Competitive pay4-day work weekStable full-time hoursOpportunity to work on a variety of custom projects and machinesSupportive team environment with growth opportunitiesApply today and put your CNC skills to work with a team that values precision, quality, and craftsmanship!
