Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Manage large affordable properties, ideally 400 or more units.
- Work with a large team of employees, 10 or more.
- Work independently and make sound judgments.
- Organize and manage the team effectively.
- Manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with multiple agencies, including the county of Henrico.
- Manage HUD properties and ensure compliance with HUD inspections (MOR and NSPIRE).
- Complete annual recertifications in a timely manner.
- Handle budgeting, including preparing budgets and adhering to them.
- Collect rent timely and follow a collection policy.
Experience you will need:
- Proven track record managing large affordable properties.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in affordable housing.
- Experience working with a large team of employees.
- Extensive background in managing HUD properties.
- Experience in LIHTC (Tax Credit).
- Ideally, experience in Yardi or similar property management software.
- Proven track record in budgeting and financial management.
