Location: Phoenix, AZ

Start Date: 10-26-2026

End Date: 01-25-2027

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Tuesday, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (12-hour night shifts, no call required for this schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64.40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in a fast-paced General OR running roughly 30 cases a day across a huge variety of specialties
• Support robotics cases, a must-have skill that keeps this unit on the cutting edge
• Maintain a sterile field with confidence and precision during every procedure
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and other core nursing skills as part of daily patient care
• Assist with trauma, ortho trauma, general, plastics, ENT, spine, urology, GYN, high risk C-sections, hand and eye cases
• Scrub in as an RN when your skills allow, a big plus that the team truly appreciates
• Rotate weekend coverage with staff and take on call as needed to keep the OR running 24/7
• Float to Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus, or to Lithotripsy if you have the skill

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact license) and willingness to wait for the right credential
• At least 2 years of Operating Room circulating experience
• BLS Certification current and ready to go
• Level I Trauma experience is a must, along with ortho trauma and general surgery backgrounds
• Robotics experience is required for this role
• Comfortable with a pass/fail SIMs Lab on day one of orientation covering sterile field and Foley catheter insertion
• Scrub RN experience is a wonderful bonus, not a dealbreaker
• First time travelers are absolutely welcome here

Education

• Unit: General OR
• # beds: 9 Regular, 1 Trauma, 1 Urgent
• Certs: BLS. RNs Circulate, Scrub RN a big plus.
• EMR: Cerner and Surginet
• Cases per day: 30 cases per day.
• Charge Nurse: Charge
• CSTs: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Rotate with staff, would take on call for one weekend a month and one night a week as needed
• Scrub Color: Provided
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Shifts: per job posting
• Call: one call shift each week and one weekend a month. Team during the week - 1 RN and 1 CST, for Weekends - RN, CST, and huck (one each)
• Floating: Lithotripsy if have the skill, can be floated to Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus
• Floor specific orientation: 1 week.
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General, ortho, robotics, plastics, trauma, ent, spine, urology, gyn, neonate, high risk c-sections, donors, hand, eyes (rare)
• Additional Notes: Ok with first time travelers. Trauma, ortho trauma and general experience a must.

Knowledge & Skills

• Confident sterile field maintenance and technique
• Foley catheter insertion and general patient care skills
• RN circulating in a Level I Trauma environment
• Cerner and SurgiNet charting comfort
• Familiarity with robotics, trauma, ortho trauma, and general surgery case types
• Scrub RN capabilities and Lithotripsy knowledge are a nice plus
• Team-first attitude with flexibility for rotation and call
