Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary: This position supports the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager in the following manner:Greet patients, visitors and others upon entrySafely, efficiently and accurately processes prescriptions through split verification (data entry/production)Provides necessary consultations at pick up with patientsReports to: Chief Pharmacy OfficerSupervises: Pharmacy technician staffDress Requirement: Business/Business casual or scrubs and a white lab coat in accordance to Heart of Ohio Family Health’s dress code policyWork Schedule:Monday through Friday during standard business hoursTimes are subject to change due to business necessityExemptJob Duties and Responsibilities:Support of pharmacy services by assembling and dispensing medications in an efficient, accurate and patient-centered mannerRespond to requests from providers and patients via phone, computer and face-to-face interactionsResponsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all patientsSupervises technician staffProvide MTM services as well as professional consultation when requested on a walk-in basisProvide immunizations where recommended by ACIP, FDA Recommendation and the CDCAssisting in the maintenance of records in accordance with company policy and state/federal lawProvide clinical pharmacy support which may include, but isn’t limited to, medication reconciliation, providing pharmacotherapy recommendations to providers, provide care coordination with primary care, behavioral health and specialty teams.Inventory management which includes, but not limited to, annual controlled substance inventory and daily maintenance of in-stock medications and suppliesNon-sterile compoundingAttention to detail, analytical skills, admirable customer service and dependability is a mustA positive attitude with a passion for providing high-quality, holistic, and compassionate care to every patient every timeWillingness to continuously grow, learn and accept different cultures in an environment surrounded by great diversityMaintain compliance with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy licensing requirements and Heart of Ohio Health Relias training (and others as necessary)Willingness and ability to travel between practicing sites, as neededFacility Environment:Heart of Ohio Family Health operates in multiple locations, in Columbus, OH. All facilities have a medical office environment with front-desk reception area, separate patient examination rooms, nursing stations, pharmacy stock room, business offices, hallways and private toilet facilities.This position’s primary work area is within the pharmacy on the second floor (elevator access on site).The pharmacy area:kept at a normal working temperaturesanitized dailymaintains standard pharmacy environment with minimal opportunities to sit, long hours standingmaintains standard office equipment; i.e., computer, copier, fax machine, etc. at a normal working heightJob Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy (required)Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (required) PharmD (preferred)Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio (required)Immunization certification (required)CPR Certification (required)Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience (preferred)Knowledge of the 340B program (preferred)Experience with Epic and PioneerRx software system (preferred)Understanding of laws and regulations impacting the medication dispensing process preferredPrefer an understanding of third-party payer benefits, the requirements and troubleshooting rejected claimsHas the ability to diffuse and handle difficult situations by using good judgment, control of emotion and diplomacyDemonstrates grammatically-correct verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates efficient and courteous telephone skillsDemonstrates resilience, a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
