Float Pool Nurse

Role Overview The Float Pool Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication and maintaining a safe environment. Key Responsibilities Assessing patient needs, implementing physician orders, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient conditions. Instructs and educates patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care team. As acting charge nurse, manages daily activities, assigns staff based on patient acuity, and serves as a clinical resource. Qualifications & Skills Must be a registered nurse from an accredited program, licensed with the appropriate state board, with current BLS certification and ACLS within six months. Requires at least two years of clinical experience, with ICU experience preferred.
