We are currently hiring a full time Field Janitorial Manager for locations across Buffalo, NY. Commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is required, and supervisory experience is a plus. Field Janitorial Managers work closely with district managers and field technicians to maintain high standards of cleanliness. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a variety of commercial environments, including factories, offices, schools, veterinary clinics, and medical facilities. Key responsibilities include maintaining clean and orderly conditions throughout each facility, restocking supplies, training and supporting janitorial staff, performing quality assurance checks, various administrative tasks such as scheduling, documenting, communicating with administrative staff, and completing general cleaning tasks. Employees in this position must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering consistent and reliable service.

Field Janitorial Manager Responsibilities

Field Janitorial Managers are responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including:

• Travel to assigned facilities on time and prepared.

Clean each facility according to the cleaning schedule including but not limited to:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Dusting and disinfecting surfaces.
• Emptying garbage and recyclables.
• Cleaning sinks, microwaves, windows, and toilets.
• Servicing areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and offices.
• Restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
• Obtain, maintain, and properly use account keys, materials, and equipment.
• Perform thorough evaluations of job sites, products, and processes to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
• Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work.
• Train, cover, inspect and support employees.
• Utilize technology to communicate, complete, and track work assignments.
• Administrative tasks such as scheduling, documenting, and communicating with the appropriate staff. The person in this role will work in various systems on a regular basis.
• Identify operational challenges, analyze causes, and recommend solutions to enhance services.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
• Effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.
• Represent Clean MD positively and professionally in all internal and external interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Field Janitorial Manager Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable means of transportation
• Smartphone capable of downloading and using apps
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand and move for the duration of the shift
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding company and client information
• Willingness to learn
• Familiar with Microsoft applications
• 1-2 years of administrative experience
• 1-3 years of janitorial or cleaning experience
• Supervisory experience in a janitorial or cleaning role
