AI Solutions Engineer Intern

Salary: $37,440 - 37,440 per year Requirements:

• Be enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Information Systems, or related college or university program, with at least two years completed.
• Be available for a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., during our Summer 2027 internship, running from mid-May to early August.
• Reside near St. Louis, Missouri; Effingham, Illinois; or Rockford, Illinois, and report to the assigned Midland office.
• Work effectively in a team and communicate well in writing and verbally.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams, and able to learn and use new software and programs.
• Bring strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and some experience with software development or data.
• Be able to learn quickly, experiment, and turn ideas into working solutions.
• Experience with Python, APIs, SQL, cloud technologies, or generative AI tools is preferred; familiarity with large language models, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, or application development is a plus.
• Demonstrate business insight, innovation, results orientation, sound decision-making, collaboration, effective communication, customer focus, authenticity, emotional intelligence, self-development, and flexibility.

• Own or make a meaningful contribution to at least one production-focused AI project, from idea through delivery.
• Help build AI agents and applications for practical business use cases across our Bank.
• Connect enterprise data and systems using APIs, Model Context Protocol, or other suitable integration methods.
• Contribute to improvements to our AI platform and develop workflow automations.
• Test emerging AI models and capabilities, and help assess solution adoption and business impact.
• Collaborate with our AI and engineering colleagues and business partners, following appropriate governance, security, and testing practices.
• Perform other assigned duties and comply with applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
