Payroll Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and employee-centric Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance across multiple sites and states. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in payroll tax regulations, employment and labor laws, and 401(k) management. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure accurate payroll operations, adherence to legal standards, and effective benefits management to support our diverse workforce. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees, ensuring timely payments across multiple locations and states. Maintain and update payroll spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Manage payroll tax filings and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Administer employee benefits programs including 401(k) plans, leave laws, and accruals. Stay informed about employment and labor law changes affecting payroll and benefits administration. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to employment, taxes, and benefits. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies or issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries. Support audits related to payroll taxes, benefits, or legal compliance as needed. Maintain accurate records for multi-site and multi-state operations. Qualifications Proven experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or related roles. Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, employment law, and labor standards. Experience managing 401(k) plans, leave laws, and accruals. Proficiency with spreadsheets and payroll software systems. Ability to handle multi-site and multi-state payroll requirements efficiently. Employee-centric attitude with excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
