Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Port St. Joe facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures. The role involves specimen processing, instrument operation, quality control, and maintaining accurate test results in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality criteria
Execute routine and complex laboratory procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for optimal functionality
Perform preventive maintenance, quality control procedures and document results
Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Minimum one year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Florida Medical Technologist (MT) license preferred
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
