Anesthesiology Physician – Eureka, CA | Inpatient Night & Weekend Coverage

Location: Eureka, CA

Start Date: 09/09/2026

End Date: Ongoing / TBD

Shift: Nights & Weekends (7a-7p, 3p-7a, 3p-11p, 11p-7a)

Hours per Week: 7–14 shifts/month, 8-hour guarantee per shift

Employment Type: Locum Tenens

License/Certs: Active CA license, DEA, BC or BE

Experience: Prior anesthesiology work required

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $1.00 (Rate to be filled out on bid)

Pay package discussed upon application

What You'll Do

Provide anesthetic care for inpatient procedures during scheduled shifts
Respond to on-call nights and weekend emergencies
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop anesthesia plans
Maintain compliance with facility protocols and safety standards
Document all patient care activities thoroughly
Support the facility's anesthesia needs while working flexible shifts
Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures

What You Need

Required:

Active California medical license
DEA certification
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Willing to work nights and weekends
Prior anesthesiology experience in inpatient settings

Preferred:

Experience with emergency anesthesia management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
