Branch ManagerSNELLING, a locally owned & operated staffing and recruiting firm is seeking a Branch Manager to join a local bank. The Branch Manager is responsible for building a high-performing, member-focused branch that delivers strong financial and service results. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands consumer lending, can develop and coach employees, and is comfortable being accountable for branch performance.Role SummaryThe Branch Manager leads the day-to-day sales, lending, service, and operational performance of a Tyler-area branch. Unlike many traditional banking branch management roles, this position is actively involved in consumer lending while also leading the branch's teller and consumer lending teams, driving membership, loan and deposit growth, and holding the team accountable to measurable results.Key responsibilities include:Actively handle consumer lending and loan processing responsibilities in addition to managing the branchGrow branch loans, deposits, membership, and overall financial performanceCoach employees on sales, service, cross-selling, and member relationship developmentOversee teller and consumer lending operationsMake sound lending decisions while maintaining compliance with applicable policies and regulationsBuild relationships with members and identify opportunities to meet their financial needsRecruit, develop, and retain high-performing employeesRepresent the credit union through community involvement, networking, and business development activitiesEnsure branch policies, procedures, controls, and service standards are consistently followedQualificationsMinimum 2 years of retail banking consumer lending experienceMinimum 2 years of staff management experiencePrevious experience managing a branch within a credit union or community bank strongly preferredHands-on experience with consumer lending and loan processingThorough knowledge of banking or credit union products and servicesUnderstanding of applicable banking regulations and legal requirementsKnowledge of branch functions, policies, procedures, and operational controlsProven ability to coach employees and manage performance against measurable goalsStrong sales, business development, and relationship-building skillsRequirementsAvailability for occasional travel, networking opportunities, and after-hours community eventsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, educate, and coach othersAbility to handle sensitive and confidential member and employee information with professionalism and discretionExcellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office programs and general computer systemsTyping speed of at least 40 WPMData entry speed of at least 6,500 KPHProfessional demeanor and appearanceCooperative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to assist othersBenefits & CompensationComprehensive employee benefits packageProfessional development and growth opportunitiesOpportunity to make a direct impact on branch and credit union performancePeople-focused, results-driven cultureSNELLING is a contingency recruiting firm, placing candidates in temp, temp-to-hire and direct hire positions for over 60 years.
