Job Details

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive experience for a day shift position offering 3 shifts of 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:30).

Current California RN License
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Travel experience is required
Availability to work every other weekend

Preferred Qualifications

Previous charge nurse experience
Experience with the Community Hospital charting system

Skills and Proficiencies

Accessing and managing ports
Arterial line management
Assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
BiPAP and CPAP management
Blood product administration
Care of ventilated patients
Central line management
Monitoring central venous pressure (CVP)
Management of chronic and acute renal failure
Administration of continuous IV paralytics and neuromuscular blockade
Continuous IV sedation
Emergency medications administration
eICU experience is a plus
Fresh tracheostomy care
High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
Infection prevention practices
Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
IV insulin protocols
Phlebotomy skills
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Management of pulmonary edema and respiratory failure
Starting and maintaining IVs
Suctioning (ETT, NT)
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Ventilator management

Daily Census: 4 patients
Number of Rooms: 6
Number of Beds: 8
Weekends: Required to cover

Compliance and Onboarding

Must complete background checks and provide a 7-year work history
All compliance documents must be submitted before the start date
Orientation modules are part of the onboarding process
