Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ACLS Must-Have: Level I Trauma experience Heavy Orthopedic, General, and Urology experience required Description: Shift consists of 5 days, 8 hours each. Previous experience in a trauma center is strongly preferred. Experience in travel assignments is preferred. The role involves a wide range of surgical specialties, excluding hearts and transplants. It includes performing procedures like vascular, robotic, and neuro surgeries. The surgical tech will assist in heavy ortho, general surgery, urology, and additional specialty surgeries. Experience with specific surgical techniques and procedures is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterilization. A strong background in several surgical procedures is expected. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
