Registered Behavior Tech

TactStaff EDU is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 behavioral and therapeutic support to an elementary school student in Connecticut. This is an immediate-start, full-time school-based opportunity for an RBT who is passionate about helping students build independence, communication, social, and academic skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral support skills, patience, consistency, and a collaborative approach to working with students and school teams.

Position Highlights

• 1:1 support for an elementary school student
• Therapeutic and behavioral support needs
• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:25 PM
• Full-time, onsite school position
• ASAP start
• $28–$33/hour, based on experience and qualifications
• W-2 contract position through TactStaff EDU

RBT Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 behavioral and therapeutic support throughout the school day
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and treatment plans under the direction of the supervising BCBA
• Support the student's academic, social, communication, and behavioral goals
• Collect and accurately document behavioral and skill-acquisition data
• Assist with transitions, classroom routines, and daily activities
• Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies
• Help promote appropriate replacement behaviors and student independence
• Support de-escalation and behavioral intervention when needed
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, BCBA, and related service providers
• Maintain professional communication and confidentiality
• Follow all school and clinical policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification required
• Experience providing 1:1 behavioral support preferred
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• ABA/behavioral health experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with students who have therapeutic and behavioral needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary school team
