Preschool Teacher

Sandy Hill School is a play-based, Reggio-inspired preschool nestled in the heart of Solana Beach. Our program is located mainly in an outdoor environment; rooted in connection, curiosity, and community. Position Overview: We are seeking an educator who feels aligned with the heart of our work; someone who sees early childhood education as more than a job, but as meaningful, purpose driven work. Responsibilities: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum inspired by children's interests and curiosities Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports independence, collaboration and self-expression Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning to guide planning and communicate growth to families Partner with co-teachers and administrators to create a cohesive and positive school culture Build strong, respectful relationships with families through consistent and open communication Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and uphold Sandy Hill's commitment to safety and high-quality care Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative team environment Qualifications: Minimum of 12 ECE units required; AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Experience working with preschool aged children (2-5 years old) in a play-based or Reggio-inspired setting Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and positive guidance strategies Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Competitive hourly pay based on education and experience Paid holidays, breaks, and professional development days Opportunities for continued growth within a long-standing reputable program #J-18808-Ljbffr
