Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will be responsible for providing care to patients including laboring, postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and infants under 28 days old. The nurse will work in a Level 2A Nursery and may care for sick babies. Experience in gyn-surgical or mastectomy post-op is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for laboring patients with a ratio of 1:2.
• Care for couplets with a ratio of 1:3-4.
• Float to med/surg as helping hands when required.
• Participate in weekend rotation and holiday scheduling as needed.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
• Completion of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Proficiency in EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills.
• Experience with the Epic charting system.
