Familia Dental is a big believer in internal growth, making it a great company to turn a job into a career.Job PurposeTo assist the dentist effectively and efficiently in providing dental care to patients and to promote Familia Dental's culture, mission, and values.ResponsibilitiesPerform all regular General Dental Assistant dutiesSchedule appointments and assist with appointment confirmation callsTrain and educate dental assistants on responsibilities and job duties including:setting up treatment rooms, equipment, and inventorypatient history, vitals, consent forms, and x-raysrecognizing and responding to dental emergenciesmaking impressions and presenting treatment planssterilization, disinfection, and equipment maintenanceAssist with educating dental assistants on PPE, safety processes, and company policiesProvide dental education to staff and patientsHelp set expectations by complying with all company policies and processes at all times.Manage dental supply ordering and inventory within budgetMonitor doctor schedules, patient flow, and clinic operationsCommunicate daily with the Office Manager on various clinic mattersAttend meetings, trainings, and continue own educationEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Familia Dental policiesOther tasks as assigned.RequirementsQualifications/Skill SetsExceptional people skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and listening skillsComputer skills and experience with dental management software experience.
