Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
• Manage and assess patients across antepartum, labor, and triage settings
• Float to postpartum unit as needed to support couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Participate in newborn care at delivery when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or NCC EFM certification required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required (AHA-issued for ACLS/BLS)
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Ability to perform newborn role at delivery
