Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in Med/Surg Telemetry. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced night shift environment. This position demands not only clinical expertise but also the ability to effectively communicate with patients and families in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment and monitoring of telemetry patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient education and engage with patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation to ensure accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Current and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• Active certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Epic experience is required.
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.

Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including at least every other holiday.
