The division ensures the effective and efficient use of information technologies in support of Wisconsin government services and programs. It designs, administers, promotes, and supports information technology services to state agencies, local governments, tribal governments, private partners, schools, universities, libraries, and citizens. Under the general supervision, this position is responsible for data center after hours physical security access monitoring, server, and network device stability monitoring and z/OS console mainframe operations in a 24 x 7x 365 enterprise environment. Primary activities include following ITIL best practices while providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring critical system availability.The incumbent will frequently work on tasks that require a strong commitment to customer service, good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. This position requires learning and evolving with new technology and processes to deliver continuous improvement in section services. The ability to function with an enterprise perspective and advise technical staff, DET management, and other entities’ staff on technical and business issues is critical. Level will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications.Salary Information Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Technical Services Senior (07-34) will be between $30.76 - $47.72 hourly. Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Technical Services Specialist (07-33) will be between $35.90 - $55.06 hourly. Salary will be determined by applicant qualifications. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be in accordance with the State Compensation Plan. Job Details The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM. Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas and is not an eligible OPT (Optional Practical Training) employer for F-1 international students.
