Registered Nurse - Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery
This is a 13-week contract position.
Nights, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required.
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in the Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery departments. The selected candidate will utilize their expertise to ensure a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns while working within a clinical team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.
- Assist in delivering newborns and ensure immediate post-delivery care and support.
- Provide education and emotional support to postpartum mothers.
- Care for newborns in the nursery and support breastfeeding initiation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery nursing.
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications.
- Michigan state nursing license.
- No new travelers; candidates must have prior experience.
