Our values ask for a deeper level of commitment, and what is asked of us we freely give because we believe in our mission.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDCertified Medical AssistantCompleted a formal Medical Assistant training program -or- minimum of three (3) years working as a Medical AssistantBLS Certification (must be obtained within six (6) months of hire)Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in related clinical or medical office settingDuties and Responsibilities:Establishes strong working relationships with providers while facilitating excellent patient careConsistently exceeds customer service expectations and communicates effectivelyStrong data entry and computer abilities in addition to proficiency when performing department specific clinical skillsMust be able to perform accurately and quickly in a busy, stressful environment, setting priorities as to dutiesUnderstands and follows policy and procedureBuilds productive interpersonal relationships in every encounter and demonstrates teamworkActively participates in the departmentEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMCs Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and StewardshipOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:Accepts the risk of exposure to job-related illness and injury which may cause long-term health problemsMust be able to see with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance and when required differentiate colors accuratelyMust be able to sit and walk frequently or for long periods of time; must be able to stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist routinelyConstant use of the computer and keyboardMust be able to lift greater than fifty (50) pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequentlySpecial Demands:Sets limits when dealing with angry, hostile, or sometimes verbally or physically abusive patients and families in an attempt to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the delivery of careEffectively copes and strives for balance when caring for acutely ill patients and families
