About the Position

TransForce is seeking a CDL-A Yard Switcher for an on-site, local position in Livonia, Michigan. This is a no-touch role focused primarily on yard operations, with occasional travel on a short public road to access a secured lot.

Pay & Schedule Details

Pay rate: $25 per hour
Overtime available after 40 hours
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
Hours: 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Must be available to work weekends

Job Details

Route type: Local yard operations
Freight: No-touch freight
Equipment: Automatic transmission
Primary duties take place in the yard
Occasional driving on a short public road to reach a secured lot

Key Responsibilities

Safely switch and position trailers within the yard
Move equipment between the yard and secured lot as needed
Follow all applicable safety procedures and site requirements
Maintain reliable attendance for scheduled overnight and weekend shifts

Minimum Requirements

CDL-A license
1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
