We are seeking a Room Service/In Room Dining Server who will be responsible for delivering menu items directly to our guest's rooms in a professional and timely manner ensuring total satisfaction. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Caf Paseo. Located along world-renowned El Paseo, our boutique hotel places guests steps from premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant nightlife while serving as the perfect gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. We have opportunities for both full time and part time associates.

What will you be doing?

• Learn all menu items in food and beverage outlets and the proper garnishments to execute proper plate set-up.
• Prepare trays and deliver to rooms.
• Maintain complete guest satisfaction by maintaining Marriott service standards.
• Check floors to be sure all trays and carts are retrieved.
• Prepare and deliver guest amenities.
• Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of Room Service area along with personal hygiene.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards, no previous experience required.
• In-depth understanding of beverages and wines.
• Familiarity with all menu items and their accompaniments and ability to memorize and promote menu items effectively.
• Proficient in English for customer communication and understanding product instructions.
• Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50lbs.
• Knowledge of room service operations, staffing, and guest relations.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills to maintain service standards.
