Lab Technician II

Responsibilities Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing on in-process and finished product samples in support of manufacturing operations and customer specifications. Analyze samples using established laboratory methods and instrumentation. Maintain accurate laboratory records, data entry, and documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. Communicate test results promptly and accurately to production operators to support process adjustments and production quality. Ensure all laboratory equipment is in proper working order, including running controls and performing routine troubleshooting, notifying supervisors of equipment issues. Maintain proper housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment in the labs and sample retain areas. Retain production samples according to established procedures. Utilize laboratory database systems, spreadsheets, and plant software for reporting and tracking test results. Support investigations involving off-specification materials, customer complaints, process deviations, and quality concerns. Work effectively in a 24-hour manufacturing environment, including shift work, weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift handoffs. Follow safety operation procedures required by Trecora. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality control lab and/or a Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
