Machine Repair Mechanic (Boeing Manufacturing Accelerated Careers) Location: Washington State (Kent, Bellevue Data Centers, and other listed locations). This position is 100% onsite. Position Responsibilities Install, disassemble, repair, assemble, test, and maintain machine tools, process buildings, and overhead handling equipment, including stationary generator sets. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on generator sets and other equipment to ensure compliance with SHEA regulations. Guide and mentor lower‑classification employees in maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, modification, adjustment, and testing of machines and equipment. Use schematics, blueprints, specifications, manuals, and procedures to complete work assignments and develop new assembly methods when procedures are not available, documenting these methods for future reference. Hand scrape, flake, lap, level, and align equipment components as needed using precision devices for failure analysis. Perform operational tests on machine tools and building equipment to ensure functionality. Maintain logs, charts, and records, preparing reports and schedules as required. Collaborate with other crafts to accomplish tasks and assist as needed. Perform incidental rigging to facilitate work tasks and carry out work in other classifications when necessary. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards Lifting 10–15 lbs to 35 lbs; frequent reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting. Work in environments with contact to metals, solvents, coolants, and proximity to moving parts, sharp cutters, and slipping hazards. Exposure to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions; use personal protective equipment for face/eyes, hands, arms, and feet. Qualifications Must be a military service member or recent veteran from an aligned Military Occupation Code with a valid BMAC Endorsement Form. High school graduate or GED preferred. Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet and pass Fall Protection Training. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years’ experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic. Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical components, and test equipment. Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams. Ability to work around electromagnetic fields produced by production equipment. Additional Requirements Position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.62 is required. Successful candidates must complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $46.00/hour with potential to earn up to $61.01/hour based on applicable collective bargaining agreement.
