Journeyman CNC Machinist - Mills & Lathes

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

If you're the kind of machinist who can walk up to a print, a machine, and a problem, and know exactly where to start, you'll feel right at home here. B&M Machine Co. is hiring a high-skilled Journeyman CNC Machinist - Mills & Lathes , a senior role on the floor. We are looking for someone who can hit the floor running.

We run a 4x10 schedule (three-day weekends, every weekend) and you'll program, set up and run Haas CNC mills and Mazak lathes with bar feeders.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming experience for mills and/or lathes, with the ability to independently take parts from print to finished product.
• Strong proficiency with CAM and programming software (Mastercam and Mazatrol strongly preferred), including G-code editing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Deep understanding of multi-axis machining, GD&T, blueprint reading, tooling selection, and machining fundamentals such as speeds, feeds, and setup strategy.
• Proven experience handling full job shop responsibilities, including programming, setup, operation, inspection, and first-time part prove-outs.
• Demonstrated leadership and accountability, with experience training others, improving team capability, and taking ownership of quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do as a Journeyman CNC Machinist:

• Program, set up, and run Haas CNC mills (including 4th/5th axis) and Mazak CNC lathes with bar feeders
• Take a job from print to good parts independently: program, tooling, fixturing, setup, first article
• Handle first-run jobs: proof CAM programs, develop fixtures, dial in processes
• Train and mentor other machinists: share what you know, model good habits, raise the floor's skill level
• Act as a go-to technical resource on the floor; help keep jobs moving when problems come up
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and respect the equipment
