Part-Time Urgent Care Physician

Locations: West Chester and Malvern, PA
Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible weekday, evening, and weekend shifts available

We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and patient-centered Part-Time Physician to join our urgent care practice. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced outpatient environment while maintaining excellent work-life balance through flexible scheduling.

The ideal candidate is comfortable treating patients of all ages, managing acute illnesses and injuries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies and X-rays.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including wound care, laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care, and preventive health measures.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and clinical support staff.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote a positive patient experience while maintaining clinical quality and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in: 
  • Family Medicine
  • Emergency Medicine
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Ability to see patients of all ages.
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills.

Preferred

• Prior Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care experience.
• Experience interpreting digital radiographs.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification or willingness to obtain.
