Where You Will Work The Surgical ICU is a 21-bed unit that cares for a broad spectrum of high-acuity patients, including abdominal transplant, general abdominal surgery, ENT surgery, and vascular surgery. Our nurses partner closely with a highly collaborative group of physicians and nurse practitioners and hone skills such as complex dressing changes and extracorporeal therapies like CRRT and MAR. This unit is highly sought after due to its complexity and acuity. The variety of surgical procedures provides great experience and learning. Comprehensive orientation prepares you to be an expert in a fast-paced, critical environment, and we have an orientation plan tailored to new graduates. We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association What You’ll Do As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and strong communication skills, you will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
