Job Summary: As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and organization of the grocery department. Your responsibilities will include stocking shelves, rotating products, assisting customers, and maintaining cleanliness in the aisles. Join us in ensuring our customers have access to a wide selection of products and enjoy a pleasant shopping experience.


Examples of Duties:

• Receive deliveries of grocery products and verify accuracy of shipments.

• Stock shelves and displays with new merchandise, ensuring items are neatly arranged and properly labeled.

• Rotate products to ensure older items are brought to the front for sale and newer items are placed in the back.

• Assist customers in locating products, providing information, and answering inquiries.

• Maintain cleanliness in the grocery aisles, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or damaged items.

• Assist with inventory counts and restocking activities during off-peak hours.

• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of grocery products and categories.

• Familiarity with stocking procedures and merchandising techniques.

• Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for handling products.

Skills:

• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in stocking shelves and organizing products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
