As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Screening in Franklin Lakes, NJ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control authorized access, verify credentials, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help identify access issues, unsecured entry points, and/or other security-related conditions.
• Assist with badge checks, visitor sign-in processes, deliveries, and employee entry procedures while maintaining professional interactions and following post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• A college degree is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Must be able to accommodate last minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
