Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Scion Health.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: Administers roentgen rays and radioactive substances and provides patient services using imaging modalities. Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-rays, including adjusting equipment, determining proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time, arranging immobilization and support devices to position patients, adjusting lead shielding, and determining technique for ionizing radiation during radiologic exams. Prepares patient rooms, equipment, supplies, medications, barium preparations, and other chemical mixtures for X-rays; develops film in accordance with photographic techniques; and cleans and disinfects the X-ray room and equipment. Prepares patients for X-ray by explaining procedures, transferring patients to the table, positioning patients, assisting patients at the end of procedures, and explaining exams and equipment to patients and families. Observes patients and machines during procedures, reports unusual occurrences, records patient condition, transports patients, takes the mobile X-ray unit to patient rooms, inspects emergency trays, maintains radiographic technique charts, maintains stock supplies, performs general office duties, writes weekly reports, and provides formal and informal education based on identified needs for staff and peers. Uses GE X-ray equipment in main department portables and OEC (GE) C-arms in the OR.
