The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill part-time assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty. Primary Purpose: Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. All degrees and course work used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/ theater arts, mass communication or English OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Experience with teaching and mentoring historically and socially minoritized/marginalized communities such as African-American/Black, Chicanx/Latinx, Pacific Islander, Native American, women, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities. Working Conditions: Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate Open Date: 11/06/2024 Close Date: 11/06/2025 Special Instructions Summary: This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date.
