Master Machinist

As a Master Machinist at Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation - Columbia Plant you will have the opportunity to work with your hands. You may be responsible for reading blueprints fabrication/welding tooling repair designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.

• Tool and die blueprint reading
• Mechanical knowledge
• Fabrication/welding
• Familiar with Injection Molding
• Manufacturing repair
• Tooling repair
• Precision measuring instrument
• Repairing molds
• Operating grinding and milling machines
• Tear down clean assemble after fix clean polish
• Grind mill & lathe
• Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances
• Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts
• Measuring and marking metal stock for machining
• Setting up machine tools such as drills lathes grinders and milling machines
• Filing grinding shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish
• Fitting and assembling tools and mold parts
• Inspecting finished dies and molds for defects smoothness and contour deformities
• All other duties/tasks as assigned

Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• General Machine Knowledge
• AutoCad or Solidworks Experience
• Majority of time is spent standing and repetitive use of both hands
• Working in a factory environment - heat dust etc.
