Resident Assistant-Part Time/Full Time

Description & Responsibilities:

Matt Talbot Recovery Services is currently recruiting for Full and Part Time caregivers for all shifts to work at our Community Based Residential Facilities. Resident Assistants are responsible for maintaining oversight of participants in our designated program locations that work in collaboration with the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. Both Part and Full time opportunities are available during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, as well as weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Always supervise resident behaviors and activities, monitor physical and emotional well-being, and respond to all resident needs and concerns.
2. Record observations regarding resident behavior, metal status, and care; report observations to treatment staff; provide input for treatment plans; and implement portions of the treatment plan according to level of expertise under direction of clinical staff.
3. Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with specified procedures.
4. Assist with planning recreational individual and group activities for residents.
5. Intervenes in crisis situations, reporting to counselor and supervisor in case of emergency.
6. Documents and reports observations and pertinent information concerning client behaviors, attitudes and interactions in the communication log.
7. Communicates pertinent resident information to the appropriate clinical staff, families and referents when assigned.
8. Answers phones, direct calls and take messages as assigned.
9. Participates in scheduled staff meetings and in-service activities.
10. Performs all duties according to the facilities policies and procedures.
11. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Counselor.
