About Our Store

Scooter’s Coffee at 30th & Ames is more than a traditional coffee shop. Located in the heart of North Omaha, our store is a community-focused location committed to providing excellent service while making a positive impact in the neighborhood we serve.

Our location features a large lobby and two community meeting rooms available for meetings, organizations, entrepreneurs, and community activities. As one of Scooter’s largest locations, our team is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, professional, clean, and efficient environment for both our customers and community guests.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking people who take pride in doing their job well, work with urgency, and understand that every team member contributes to the success of the store.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Prepare drinks and food quickly and accurately according to Scooter’s recipes and standards.
• Follow all store policies, procedures, food safety requirements, and operational standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment.
• Use downtime productively by cleaning, stocking, organizing, and completing assigned tasks.
• Maintain the lobby, restrooms, barista stations, equipment, and other areas of the store.
• Handle cash and customer transactions accurately.
• Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Arrive on time, in dress code, and ready to work at the beginning of every scheduled shift.
• Communicate and work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, team-oriented workplace.

Previous barista or food-service experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate strong reliability, work ethic, customer service skills, and the ability to learn quickly.

• Ability to remain productive throughout the scheduled shift
• Availability for some holidays as required by store scheduling
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of a barista position, including standing for extended periods and performing routine cleaning and stocking duties

Current Shift Openings

We are currently hiring primarily for morning and daytime availability, with shifts beginning between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
Applicants should only apply for these openings if they can consistently arrive on time for early-morning shifts.
