Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse is needed at a facility located in Hayward, Wisconsin. This position entails providing critical nursing care in a busy emergency department with a trauma level IV designation. The role involves supporting a fast-paced environment with a variety of patient cases, requiring adaptability and clinical proficiency.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: 12-hour night shifts, beginning in the evening and extending into the morning, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, with a minimum of 2 years of ER or urgent care experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are preferred but not required.
• Schedule: Nights, with rotation on weekends and holidays; every other weekend is required. No self-scheduling; potential block scheduling available upon request.
• Additional Information:
  • The ER handles approximately 40 patient visits daily on average, with a total of about 15,500 visits per year.
  • There is a dedicated triage area, with staff preferably trained in triage protocols.
  • The department is equipped with Monitors (Mindray systems), nearby X-ray and CT facilities, and patient care tech support.
  • No float requirements are currently in place for ER travelers, and there is no call or standby duty.
  • Scrubs are to be worn in charcoal/pewter gray, and orientation depends on individual needs.
